Kind-hearted theme park goers are being given the chance to enjoy a day out at Gulliver’s Valley while supporting a local foodbank.
Gulliver’s Valley in South Yorkshire will be hosting two Foodbank Weekends during October, in aid of The Trussell Trust, offering theme park tickets for just £14 when guests bring along one non-perishable food item per person, to donate.
Andy Flowers, resort manager at Gulliver’s Valley, said: “We’re excited to be hosting our first ever Foodbank Weekends in October, helping to make a difference to people in need across the region.
“We know foodbanks are under a lot of pressure at the moment, as more and more people need a helping hand.
“We’re asking our customers to join us across one of our Foodbank Weekends to combine a great day out with playing a part in supporting the vital work The Trussell Trust does here in South Yorkshire.”
Examples of food donations that can be donated at Gulliver’s during the Foodbank Weekends, include tinned fruit, small jars of coffee, long-life milk, tinned meat, tinned spaghetti, cream crackers, cordial, tinned custard, jellies, and evaporated milk.
The Foodbank Weekends take place at Gulliver’s Valley on Saturday 9 – Sunday 10 October, and Saturday 16 – Sunday 17 October.
