Danny Willett is well and truly back at the top of the game.
The Rotherham Golf Club member has climbed back into the top 40 in the Official World Golf Ranking after his recent win at the BMW PGA Championship.
Willett posted a -20 score at Wentworth and has now won two Rolex Series events.
After missing the cut at this event last season, Willett was 462nd in the rankings as his struggle for both form and fitness continued after his victory at the 2016 Masters Tournament.
Willett said: “It doesn’t get much better does it?. An emotional week.
“It was a good battle out there today with myself more than anyone else and it was nice to come through the other side.
“When the golf was real bad and I didn’t really fancy playing it, to be able to then come down the stretch today and enjoy it is something that’s a real beautiful thing to be able to do because, at the end of the day, when I was ten that’s what I took golf up for because I enjoyed it and I wanted to get better.
“That’s what you want to play the game for. You want to be able to enjoy it and have a laugh with the crowds and embrace what you’re doing and enjoy all the factors around it.”
