Sheffield United Women will play their final game of the 2021/22 season at Rotherham United’s AESSEAL New York Stadium against Crystal Palace on Sunday 1st May.
Due to the team’s regular venue at Chesterfield’s Technique Stadium being unavailable, Neil Redfearn’s side will play their final game of the season in Rotherham, looking to finish off another positive season with a positive result.
Sheffield United are currently sixth in The Women’s Championship and Crystal Palace sit in fourth.
It will be a Rotherham return for Redfearn who briefly managed the Millers men’s team in 2015/16.
The Millers meanwhile, completed their home league fixtures with a 2-1 win over Oxford United on Saturday. Should the playoffs be required for promotion, a home semi final game would take place between May 5 – 9.
Tickets for the Sheffield United Women’s match in Rotherham are now on sale with the game set to kick off at 2pm on the final day of the league season.
The AESSEAL New York Stadium has previously hosted a Women’s cup final and a number of England International games.
Following the conclusion of the season, the stadium will be prepared for the UEFA Women’s Euros. The event kicks off in July and Rotherham is hosting four games of the tournament, including a quarter final.
